tats and tags? snakebites, but he doesn't wear them all that often.
just visualize this, a punk. since Mike was in middle school he's been cast in to the "rebel" crowd, for several reasons. of course, unlike his appearance suggests, he's never really been loud or rebellious. he's very pale, but his skin is clear and acne free. it always has been. he has light freckles on his cheeks and nose, but they're only visible if he's been out in the sun too long. deep, piercing blue eyes from his mothers side cause girls to fawn over him, so he likes to wear sunglasses to avoid the attention. his hair is styled "emo", if you will; black, mid-length, clean, and highly layered. it's one of the few things he likes about his appearance.

his build is very lean, not because he doesn't eat or anything, but because of his high metabolism. his isn't necessarily "muscled", but he's quite far from flabby. his arms don't look too amazing either, until you see him use them. still though, light muscle, nothing too serious. his forearms are quite thin, and scarless, in case you were wondering; and his hands are often called "girly" because of his long, thin fingers. legs are long, but otherwise normal, on the thin side if anything; and he's got a cute butt, obviously.

he likes clothes, especially random acessories, and he occasionally goes overboard with them. he sometimes makes his own, but only in the summer, when school is out and he has the time. almost never seen without a hat of somekind, or other crazy addition to his wardrobe, like a random tie or multiple belts. he's also a fan of sleeves and legged pants. loves wearing bright, sometimes neon, colors; and tends to stick to a color theme when dressing each day. otherwise, he's normally out and about in pajama bottoms.
but don't call me normal! his bright, freaking eyes. because of his rather shadowy appearance, they stick out even more and are normally what people are caught staring at. otherwise, he's shy and blushes a lot, which for some reason draws people to him?

oh, I love stripes, tophats, skater shoes, wearing more than one belt, bagels, anime, manga, coca cola, scary movies, internet, sketching, writing, the color blue, his cellphone, smart-ass retorts, fuzzy rugs, photography, and outgoing people [although he'd never admit it.]
ew, I loath vain people, swimming pools, old music, old people, old styles, teachers, glaring, people who treat him like a four year old, and mustard.
I kick ass at writing different kinds of literature, holding in laughter, baking, puzzle-solving, organizing, typing, almost all school subjects, keeping a straight face, matching colors, drawing, dressage, and saving money.
I kinda suck at giving speeches, explaining things, being spontaneous, sports [other than horseback riding], and staying calm in situations he's not accustomed to.
I strive to make a name for myself.
I can't stand unfinished basements, and he's gynophobic.
I'm a little weird 'cause I can't stand things being uneven or out of place, unless he's wearing them. he's been caught fiddling with other people's appearances more than a few times because of this. friends call it "fidgeting", and love to point it out.
but this is me. unique. Mike is easily flustered, and blushes often. of course this throws him into the "cute" category, and gets him more attention than he wants. he's normally quiet, his edgy appearance being the only thing that sets him from the crowd, and needless to say he likes the attention, as long as it's silent. making conversation with people he doesn't know well isn't his forte, and he's constantly trying not to say something stupid. for people who know him, it's an entirely different story, he's louder and more confident, not afraid to laugh at himself or his friends in the least. he's the definition of submissive, until you can break past that outer shell. it's getting him to that point which is difficult.

placed in a situation he isn't familiar with, he can do one of two things. one, become totally confused and adorable and have no idea what to do with himself except fumble around awkwardly, or two, get a little more frustrated and fiery and end up doing something he will probably regret, like sounding a bit more mean than he should. the first is normally his reaction to pretty girls talking to him, the second is more towards guys hitting on him. either way, he'll probably start backpedaling as quickly as possible. in this situation, it's best to just keep following him around and refuse to leave him alone until he talks to [or goes out with] you.

needless to say, Michael isn't someone to push around. he's not helpless, seeing as he lives with Kaine and Tessa; two people notorious for their violent and care free way of life. then again, Tessa and Kaine normally have their violence aimed at each other rather than anyone else. Mikey on the other hand, is normally the one to referee and blow the whistle when things get a bit out of hand. he's smart and picks his own battles wisely, although normally he doesn't have to, seeing as Kaine is more than happy to fight his battles for him.

Mikey is also one of the few humans with the knowledge of vampire existance. of course, when he first found out that was the last thing he wanted to be. now, though, he has become used to the truth and, although he refuses to join them, yet that is, he is dedicated to keeping his friends secret just that. despite the fact that their powers make some daily things easier, he really has no reason to join them as of now.

I came from Jennifer and Bill Aldaine. both are insurance agents for Farmers Insurance back in California. he hasn't talked to them since he was fifteen.
and so did one younger brother, Kyle, who is 13; and a younger sister, Stormy, who is 15. he tries to stay in touch with them, but it's difficult.
i've got the blood of San Francisco, California
this is who I was growing up in California he was a very conventional child. he played a number of sports, his parents sure he would try everything, no matter what he was and wasn't interested in. he played soccer and baseball, and even tried figure skating and swimming, but nothing really appealed to him. he eventually contented himself with quietly pursuing a career in literature, although he had no desire to teach such a subject. he also was just like any other straight A, active, christian student.

soon, when introduced to middle school, he was shocked by what a sheltered life he was living and became at once interested with the world and history. he veered from his christian religion and as time went on dropped all of the sports as well. of course his parents disliked this immensely and in turn pushed him to do well in school even moreso. he had higher than a 4.0 by the time he entered eighth grade, but very little time for much else than studying and doing extra credit. this, of course made him some what introverted, which his parents also hated. Mikey became an outsider to the people in his school. when he entered high school, he was accidentally placed in the "beginners dance" class. the girls in the class began poking fun and eventually that escalated into rude names which eventually turned into much worse tauntings. Michael himself cannot quite remember that day, and he has no wish to. it did, though, cause his gynophobia.

nevertheless, Michael continued to attend the school for another year, until he met Kaine. of course the much older boy scared him at first, but Mikey was much older mentally than he gave off, and he managed to find some friendship in him. Kaine made everything seem so much simpler, which attracted Mikey like a moth to a flame. Kaine not only was the rock of reality that he needed at the time, but he also protected Michael, made him something untouchable to the rest of the student population. he also managed to get Mikey to admit to himself that his parents were slowly and effeciently making him something he wasn't meant to be. he offered Michael an escape, which he eagerly took.

Kaine told Michael about his vampirism. which scared Mikey almost back into what he had been before Kaine had wandered into his life. Kaine didn't come after him. eventually guilt and curiousity won out and Mikey sought out his friend and apologized. Kaine welcomed him back with open arms and told Michael he and Tessa, whom Mikey had also met during his time with Kaine, were moving to someplace they would be able to live more easily and offered to take him with them. Michael thought it over, but it was a pretty easy decision and he agreed to come, although he would have to literally escape from his parents, for there was no way they would allow this. with Kaine and Tessa's advice, he picked out Forks, Washington. a small town with a good school that he could attend. Kaine and Tessa did the rest, and when they came back with all of his belongings packed into boxes and bags the day after he finished sophomore year, he didn't ask any questions. Michael never asked what they told his parents or what happened when they went to his house.

tats and tags? both ears and the left side of her nose.
just visualize this, a pretty face. Tessa has never been someone to flaunt her appearance; it just happens. she's thin and somewhat toned because that's how the women were expected to look in the elizabethan era. she has a good complexion because her mother did - whoever her mother was. her hair is soft and her skin is clean because she takes showers quite often, either washing away dirt or blood, most of which isn't hers. otherwise, she paints her nails because she likes colors, and her teeth are white because she hates the taste of them unbrushed.

most vampires, when they become sure, lose all scarring and bruising from when they were human. tessa, strangely, still has one. on her neck, remains the proof of her beheading. it's very light, and she normally covers it up with a simple coat of make-up; but she's also strangely proud of it. she isn't too tall, but, obviously, is a bit more hardy than she seems. she hates wearing her hair up, for reasons that remain unknown, but she constantly tucks it behind her ears when she's concentrating on something. her hands and wrists are thin, those of an artist and writer, and her eyes, normally gold, are covered with bright blue contacts, the color they were when she was still alive.

her fashion? she doesn't have one. she wears what she wants, when she wants. she isn't a fan of tight shirts, mostly because they aren't comfortable and to tell the truth she doesn't like being "admired" by guys. her jeans are normally tight because it's easier to move around and skateboard way, which she does quite often, and she doesn't need anything else getting in the way of her, normally unnecessary, actions. she's fond of wearing darker colors, but will settle for white because of the artistic contrast; and she's particularly fond of stripes and neon colors as well. seeing as Mikey and her are relatively the same size, with the differences of being different genders of course, she borrows his stuff quite often.
but don't call me normal! her attitude. she's a spitfire, and not afraid to prove it.

oh, I love anime, manga, drawing, sketching, coffee, being detailed, stripes, neon colors, cars, breaking laws [occasionally], confusing people by talking in different languages, being intimidating, grins, skateboarding, being "crazy", her friends, and living in the moment.
ew, I loath drugs [don't try and change that], biased beliefs, descrimination, small children, religion, morals [to a point], commercials, and heavy metal.
I kick ass at skateboarding, fighting [verbally and physically], cooking [surprisingly], going about things in the dark, singing, drawing, making plot, winning, surprising people, and escaping.

this is me. unorthodox. Tessa follows no one's rules, not even her own - probably because she doesn't have any. if you set a guideline and she doesn't like it, or you, she'll disobey it. whether it's in her best interest or not. she has nothing against breaking the law, unless it's murder or drugs. infact, drugs are one of the only illegal things that she refusese to affiliate with at all. she has counts of breaking and entering, assault, grand theft auto, and possesion of illegal weapons; none of which she got time for because of her "age". not that they could hold her very well anyways.

she has a very fiery temper, and isn't afraid to start fights. oh, and did I mention she normally wins, too? well she's got some tricks up her sleeves and she isn't afraid to play dirty either. only a few of her close vampire buddies have been able to beat her. in contrast, she's willing to be the "bad guy" to her friends if it means helping them in the end. she hates being seen as weak, not necessarily for her own sake, but for her friends. strangely, she's an anchor to sanity for most of them and she's not afraid to laugh at herself. she talks down to herself to cheer up others - although no one else is allowed to talk down to her. she's the definition of loyalty, but needs to learn to be loyal to herself. "do as I say, not as I do" should be her motto.

in other words, Tessa has an extreme love of cars and other vehicles. she has a lust for adrenaline and isn't afraid to jump out into the middle of traffic just for a rush. not that the cars would really do much damage to her, but it works just about the same. instead, she enjoys fighting with Kaine, who can actually inflict some kind of pain to her at this point. although the two never really hurt each other; Mikey normally stops them before they cause any real damage to themselves, each other, or their surroundings.

like most older vampires, Tessa flaunts her strength. it something she hardly notices, too. otherwise, she refuses to let fights end quickly. even the easy ones, and because of this ends up dragging out fights against newborns, with hightened strength and speed, far longer than they should take. she may be a mercenary for the Volturi, but they only tell her whom to destroy, not how to do it. she needs the practice anyway. because of these tendencies, Tessa's experience exeeds that of a vampire her age, by a good fifty to a hundred years depending on the topic. her strength and speed are almost equal to each other, although she tends to favor her strength nowadays, seeing as she practices with Kaine constantly, whose fighting style is almost completely built around his strength.

oh well, i'll kill 'em later. Tessa's power is a rare one. seeing as most vampires use mentality related powers or those of illusion, Tessa's power is strictly physical. she has the power of telekinesis, whether that is defined at moving a soda across a table, or tossing something as large as a yacht. also unique to other vampires, she dislikes using her power when fighting. she'll use it day to day to fetch things across the room and such, but in a fight she sees this as unfair and cowardly.

she can also move things that she can't necessarily see, so long as she has seen it before and is close enough to focus on it. because of her age being so high, she has had plenty of time to practice, and is rather deadly in her methods, given she chooses to use them.

I came from no one. Tessa herself never knew her parents. she was abandoned on the day of the birth of Lady Jane Grey, and left to their disposal. from then on, her parents were Henry Grey and Lady Frances Brandon.
and so did none. at one point, Jane Grey was her sister, but now Kaine is the closest thing she has.
i've had the blood of Leicestershire, England.
this is who I was Tessa was born on the same day as the infamous Lady Jane Grey. during such a commotion, she thinks, her parents decided that their child would have best chances with a royal family than anywhere else they could have left her, and so abandoned her on their front step. theoretically speaking of course, seeing as Tessa doesn't exactly remember the whole story. in any event, she was left with the Grey family and was luckily taken into the family instead of being discarded. she was given the name Morian, and was kept, relatively, a secret from the public. seeing as she looked rather close to Jane, she was taken around and about when Jane was too tired or did not wish to attend.

when Jane Grey became the queen, it seemed her use as a scape goat for the royal woman had expired, until Lady Jane Grey was sentenced to be beheaded. Frances, their mother, of course wanted nothing more than to spare her own daughter from death, and thus hide her away. She requested a private beheading where, hopefully, no one would notice it wasn't actually Jane being executed. Tessa, Morian at the time, was taken in her place to the tower. of course, Jane was still well loved at the time, and on the way, a few serious supporters tried to rescue their beloved queen and one of them, a young vampire, managed to bite Tessa. then, Tessa began screaming and was towed even more quickly towards the tower where she was hurrily placed upon the block and beheaded. or at least, they attempted to behead her; but halfway through the metal axe faltered in breaking her iron skin and it never made it through.

nevertheless, "Jane Grey" was labelled as executed, regaurdless of what happened that day, and Tessa, disgusted at herself for the massacre which had taken place, swore to show the better side of her kind. she scented and searched out other vampires, some hostile, some humble, and came to stay in Antarctica with the majority of the vampire population wishing to same themselves from temptation. Tessa, of course, was adventurous, and although she spent a good hundred years of life here, she yearned to see what she had not had the chance. so she, like some vampires before had accomplished, moved her way slowly through canada until the stench of warm blood was no longer too much for her to resist, and she set off.

she been to most of the places in the world, save for a few she didn't want to, but she'll probably end up going to anyways. she even married once, but when she revealed her secret, was rejected and soon divorced. she returned to the vampire population in Antarctica around this time, preparing to give the world time to reset before returning to finish living her non-life. around the year 1935, she was sent to distinguish the lifee of a newborn vampire on a killing spree. this vampire happened to be Kaine, still Anton at the time. he turned and charged at her, although she parried and sliced him up pretty good in one blow. Kaine hadn't had any one return blows since his rebirth, and so his simple mind of a vampire in a blood rage grew extremely angry and he began to scream. both he and Tessa realized his power, and he paused long enough to hear Tessa yelling at him.

exactly what she said, she can't remember. neither can Kaine. it worked though, and Kaine managed to calm down long enough to listen to her tell him she'd have to kill him if he didn't calm down and follow her. he managed to agree, with another screech which shook down a nearby building on accident. the two then returned to Antarctica, where Kaine had to be restrained as another wave of blood rage wracked him. Tessa remained in the room until he regained "consciousness" and she explained to him who he was and what had happened. they have been best friends ever since.

since the time Kaine, Anton at the time, and Tessa met, they have traveled relatively everywhere, a second time around for Tessa, but Kaine needed to see the world. they stayed for a good fourty years in France, but moved on to California around the year 1990. at this time, they took on new names, Tessa forgetting her calling as Morian for something more modern, but still unique. Kaine jumped from name to name for a while before settling on his current one around 2001. this was when they met Mikey, a quick witted teen from California who Kaine fell nearly in love with at first sight. they stayed for a while, before stealing Michael away to Forks, Washington, where they plan to be for quite some time.

Kaine - he's important to me, but annoying at times. sometimes I feel like he's just being nice to get into my pants. of course, i'll be forever in his debt for saving me from my parents, but he doesn't need to know that.
Tessa - you'd be amazed what she knows. she doesn't get credit for half of how smart she is and she's one of the only girls that I can actually be around and not have trouble breathing. a bit psychotic, but she keeps Kaine in line better than I thought possible.

Tessa - man, she's like my sister. she gives the best advice i've ever been given and packs a serious punch. I pity the man who tries to push this girl around. although I do wish she would stop tripping me...
Mikey - my shy and adorable little buddy. he's so cute and he doesn't even realize it. but I don't want to date him or anything, since he's kinda like my little brother that would be totally creepy. I just hope he can find a good guy that makes him happy and treats him right. otherwise i'll have to rip the guy apart. :D
Musei - to tell you the truth, dude, you scare me. I mean the mask and the creepy way that you act.. it just ain't natural! but i'm an optimist, and I think I can get used to it, just gotta learn a bit more about you!

Kaine - you're a fucking goofball; but i'd never trade you for the world. you've been there for me in my times of pain and tragedy and I can only hope to reciprocate the action. love you like a brother, and i'd hate to ever lose you.
Mikey - he's such a good influence on us, which is strange, seeing as how we're so much older. I think without him we'd be in a much worse place. he's the only words of reason that I might listen to, so I do normally. I know he's been hurt in the past, although Kaine seems to never bring it up because it might risk their friendship, and I just hope he can find someone to recover what he has lost.
Musei - you irritate me, to some extent. I do believe I can learn something or other from you, seeing as you're so much older than I am. i've never been ignorant, no need to start now.
