Emily tilted her head this way and that as she stared at the rows of books. The little vampire was searching for something that she hadn't read before but...well, the selection was rather small when it came down to it. She came here far too often and got far too many books from her visits.
A little pout crossed her lips as she leaned her head to the other side. It bothered her that this library didn't have all that many books to start with. True, the town was small so it made sense but she still was unhappy about it. They could at least try to supply their stocks with something recent.
"Emy wants Tessi Bear to take her to Seattle now," she muttered quietly before snatching a rather large novel off the shelf.
Quick eyes and sharpened sight scanned the back cover in a flash. It was one that she hadn't read before and certainly seemed interesting. Another fantasy novel concerning elves that she hadn't seen before. Emily could probably finish it in an hour or so but at least it was something to read.
With a small sigh she seated herself in one of the chairs and idly began to flip through the pages.

Lowell pushed the door and entered the realm of books and silence. The vampire rarely visited libraries or bookstores, but Altair told him to get some fresh air. He refused, and his reason for it was because he was slightly dyslexic, but he also needed some inspiration for his art.
He skimmed through the rows and shelves full of books. If there were any books he would like, that book would either be sci-fi or fantasy. Non-fiction books would not be considered, and historical fiction might be looked at, but had little chance of being checked-out.
A book full of poems caught his eye. He peered into the paper pages of the book, and found plenty of fantastic poems that motivated him to draw. He sat down at a table and set his backpack down. He reached for his drawing notebook. Along with the notebook, he took a pencil from one of the pocket compartments and started sketching.
There was a slightly unfamiliar scent in the air. Another vampire which honestly wasn't all that strange. Forks was a popular place with vampires but Emily usually knew who those vampires were. It was rare not to run into everybody that lived in a small town like this. And it caught her curiousity.
Tilting her head this way and that as she caught and held onto the scent, Emily put the book down and began to wander aimlessly. Not that far away was another table with the male that she had scented but he seemed so busy...he probably didn't even notice there was another person in this room.
Which usually meant nothing good when Emily got involved.
The female vampire's movements became cat like as she creeped up behind the male and peered over his shoulder. A small giggle before she chirped unexpectedly, "Hi!"

Lowell was very focused on the drawing. The branches are too thick, the leaves are too thin, the clouds aren't poofy enough, the river needs to flow more. He erased the graphite and placed a new layer of shading on his tree. He started to work on the leaves, erasing them, looking back at the book, redrawing them, looking back at the book, shading them, ect.
Once he was finished with the leaves, he stopped to crack his knuckles. He smelt the stale air. There seemed to be a vampire's scent within the vincinity. He thought for a moment, and had a flashback moment. Lowell was sitting on the couch. Takeshi walks in. Lowell and Takeshi chat, and Lowell raises his eyebrow in curiosity. Takeshi told him that there would be more vampires in Forks, but he hadn't met any yet.
He decided to look as if he wasn't paying attention. He resumed drawing, expecting a hello or an excuse me. He wondered what the vampire looked like. It seemed to be a female, and she didn't seem to have a strong smell of blood. He sat paciently trying to focus on his drawing, but unexpectedly, there was a giggle and a loud "hi."
His reactions moved him like a puppet. He shot right out of his chair, jumped over the table, and got into his fighting position. The vampire was just a petite girl. His heart stopped racing and his adrenaline level reverted back to normal. He looked over to the librarian, who glared and gave him a dissapointed look. He turned his head and held his hand out. Sorry about that, I'm Lowell Clowes. What is your name?
